We’re excited to be participating in two upcoming events next week, where our CEO and co-founder Robert Jenkins will discuss various strategies for cloud computing success.
Robert will kick things off at the Cloud4SMB Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday, August 27 at 1:45 p.m. PT with his “Prioritizing Flexibility in the Cloud: A Tracky Success Story” presentation. Joined by David Longnecker, Tracky’s senior developer focused on Web development and technology integration, Robert will outline ways for SMBs to overcome the challenges most often encountered while migrating to the cloud.
Tracky is a perfect example of why SMBs should embrace the cloud. With the CloudSigma IaaS platform, Tracky was able to attain the flexibility and high performance its customers demand. No longer limited by the restrictions other providers place on operating systems, or having to work within “approved vendor” lists, Tracky was able to take full control of its public cloud deployment while experiencing greater performance efficiencies than ever before. In fact, with CloudSigma’s unbundled resources that allowed Tracky to avoid costly over- and under-provisioning, Tracky achieved a 350 percent decrease in costs, while simultaneously improving its speed and performance by a factor of five over its previous cloud provider.
Next up, at 12:30 p.m. PT on Wednesday, August 28, Robert will again take the stage – this time at ITEXPO on the panel, “Keys to Avoiding Cloud Failure.” Joined by Geminare CEO Joshua Geist and Axcient VP of Marketing Eric Weiss, Robert will discuss how to tackle the common mistakes enterprises make when developing and rolling out their plans for the cloud. Only with proper strategy, planning and implementation can companies realize the inherent scalability, flexibility and availability benefits of the cloud. And, by understanding where others have failed, attendees will be able to ensure the success of their own cloud deployments.
With the global public cloud market expected to reach revenues of $66 billion by 2016, it’s clear that businesses of all sizes and verticals are turning to the cloud for critical deployments. But, if they are to see true success in the cloud, they need to know what to look out for. That’s where we come in.
Hope to see you in Las Vegas! Drop us a line if you’ll be at either the Cloud4SMB Expo or IT Expo next week.
